Traffic Management – Events (Draft)
This Guide has been developed to supplement the General guide for workplace traffic
management. It provides information on how to manage risks that may arise from traffic
movements at public events.
Managing traffic at organised public events is an important part of ensuring the workplace
is without risks to health and safety. Vehicles and powered mobile plant moving in and
around, reversing, loading and unloading at an event site create a serious risk of death and
injury to workers and participants, patrons and volunteers.
