Injury Management

Injury management involves early intervention in medical treatment, return to work, claims handling, rehabilitation and human resource management practices in the workplace.

Work Health Options (WHO) monitors management strategies for claims, review estimates and costs, providing a forum for discussion among all stakeholders. Our aim is to ensure clients implement and review effective management strategies, using their preferred medical network, rehabilitation providers and lawyers or WHO’s recommended partners.

Work Health Options (WHO) conduct regular, active reviews with our clients, agents/insurers, legal providers and other key stakeholders such as rehabilitation or medical providers, promoting:

  • Identification of progress against goals and achievement of the plan
  • Changing risks and barriers to be identified and managed
  • Constant screening
  • Review of liabilities and auditing of appropriate payments under relevant sections of the Workers Compensation Act

Work Experience

At Work Health Options (WHO), we assist our clients with organising appropriate insurance to provide them with sufficient cover to commence unpaid work experience with the host employer (or various host employers) of their choice.

Work Experience Protection Insurance provides Personal Accident and now also Public Liability (Personal Liability) cover to the Insured person in the event that they are injured in the workplace or in the course of necessary travel between the person’s normal residence and the place of their voluntary activities. Multiple employers can also be covered under the one policy.

WHO aids the development of a Work Health, Safety & Welfare (WHSW) management system and if required can assist to continuously improve these systems once your organisation’s baseline health and safety performance has been determined. If required we will work with your organisation to achieve continual improvement, demonstrating both due diligence and competence in the workplace. The first step of the continual improvement process can only begin once an organisation’s baseline health and safety performance has been determined using a competent audit criteria.
